Professional Potter & Teacher
Most of my work starts off on the potter’s wheel. The hand thrown work is then embellished with hand building and sculptural techniques.
Along with teaching and creating my own work, I take on a diversity of commissions. Many organizations, churches, interior designers, and fellow artists of all kinds have commissioned work from me. I am used to taking on a wide array of commission ideas that are both functional and sculptural, for indoors or out. Starting with a sketch and a description, I will help you refine your ideas and see your project come to life.
Artist Bio
Jon Puzzuoli is a full time ceramicist of 17 years. His life is absorbed in clay, both creating and teaching. Jon’s passion emanates from educating others in the art of pottery. Jon is Head of the Ceramics Department at Silvermine School of Art in New Canaan and Co-Chair of it’s almost 300 Guild Artists. Developing unique glazes and growing crystals on the surface of his wares are a particular focus.
